You might be familiar with dj/producer Tokimonsta. In the past few years she's been playing shows and festivals all over the music circuit. And while she's amazing and I'll probably talk about her on another segment in the future, today I want to highlight the vocalist that she has featured on her many tracks as well as a on each track of their 2015 EP You're Invited.
If you didn't guess by now, the artist I'm talking about here is Gavin Turek. When you mix Turek's soulful smooth voice with Tokimonsta's production skills, they appear to be a powerhouse duo churning out good track after track.
This week I played Turek's "Don't Fight It" off of her 2015 EP Frontline/Don't Fight It. Turek to me has the easy listening aura reminiscent of singer Nao and the soulful presence of a 70's queen.
