Indie-pendence

To celebrate the the 4th, this week's mix is rooted to immigrants and natives who have made music in the U.S. lightyears more fun and interesting. I know I'm missing a lot of countries and cultures, but wanted to get at least a sample of the brilliant music from the wide-ranging influences in U.S. American music past and present, including artists Childish Gambino, Redbone, Ritchie Valens, Locos Por Juana, Richard Hagopian, Bill Miller, Frank de Pina, The Flying Bulgar Klezmer Band, Clifton Chenier, Mikis Theodorakis, Nina Simone and KUSF Currents: Mattiel, I Don't Know How But They Found Me, A.A. Bonds, and Linds_ASND.
